We work with mainstream businesses to support them in design and implementation of their CSR programmes. We value the contribution of socially responsible businesses who wish to promote triple bottom line approach. We assess needs, find gaps and suggest immovable solutions so that CSR efforts are channelised in a proper way and benefit society at large. We also engage with chambers of commerce and universities in this pursuit.
The other aspect that we concentrate on is bringing SMEs (Small and Micro Enterprises) into CSR fold. We realise that though large MNCs (Multinational Corporations), Corporates etc. are targets of CSR, not many organisation loan on SMEs which form part of the supply chains of MNCs and corporates. We intend to work on various issues related to SMEs thus a network of Asian NGOs. Some of the organisations with whom we have been involved are NTPC, Gujarat Ambuja Cement Ltd. (Ambuja Foundation), Bombay Chamber of Commerce etc.
Organic Consultancy
For over a decade now, we have been working with Indian farmers and producers groups and have understood the importance sustainable agriculture practices and the demand for organically produced food. We encourage farmers to adopt organic farming by providing consultancy and mentoring. Our Organic Consultancy Programme is an effective strategy to help strengthen the hands of small and marginal organic producers, food processors, indigenous people and also to provide safe and pesticide and chemical free food and food products to consumers in India.
